interdisciplinary Russian artist working with painting, architechture, typography, photography and art installations, often considered a Constructivist.

Did a lot of experimental work with typography. He explored the creative possibilities of expressive typography and the repetitive means of production.

Strong influences of Dada visible in his work. Worked with van Doesburg among others and designed the cover of an issue of van Doesburg's publication "De Stijl"
