Abstract painter and founder of Netherland Dada, founder of magazine "Mecano"

Founder of the magazine "De Stijl", a magazine he used to propagate his ideas and theories.

He produced a series of manifestos and typographical experiments. Among them is his poem "x-Beelden" that he published in de Stijl in 1920. It differed from the usual meter and he used typography to put emphasis on different parts of the poem.
